Such fun with friends, enjoying a trip back to childhood idols. So much fun to sing and dance with an awesome, friendly band. It felt like the ABBA Concert I longed for, yet never experienced back in the 70's.
Amazing evening! Such great singers and band, they really bought Abba's songs to life! The Auckland townhall was a great venue, with its beautiful acoustics.
With a so called professional show like this one, you can't afford having spelling mistakes on the huge screen indicating the title of each song. However the song "Voulez-vous"became "Voules vous"and these words came up all throughout the song. I can pass over the poor quality of the sound and the few too many quacks in the voices but come on, making such a mistake in a title that has been around since 1979 is not permissible.
I’m not really an ABBA person, but I was looking forward to an energetic, feel-good night of classic songs. Unfortunately, the show didn’t quite live up to expectations. The sound quality was poor, which made it hard to properly enjoy the music, and the overall production felt underwhelming. While the singers seemed vocally capable, the setup, costumes, and choreography were disappointing — more reminiscent of a school play than a professional performance. With stronger production values and better sound, it could have been a much more enjoyable celebration of ABBA’s music.
