A Great Show
by Martin on 01/09/2025The Opera House Wellington - WellingtonI booked this show as a my Birthday treat and asked my 14 year old Granddaughter to accompany me. She agreed but told me she didn't know anything about the Bee Gees and only knew one of their songs, "Staying Alive", which she heard when about 5 years old. The tribute group were very polished and the technicians controlling video scenes playing continually on the large back screen had everything synchronised to perfection. When watching the big screen you could easily forget that you weren't listening to the Bee Gees live in concert. My granddaughter was clapping her hands, tapping her feet and fingers to very song. She was so disappointed when they closed the show and hadn't played "Staying Alive"but didn't want me to shout out for that song to be played. There was no need as the lads came back for an encore and sang "Staying Alive"which had my Granddaughter up and dancing in her seat, singing along to the words. It was a superb ending to a great show. On the way home we chatted about how good it was and singing the songs again.
