Another fabulous performance and a different & new perspective to the movie
I took my 38 year old daughter who used to watch the movie when she was 4-7. Hundreds of times. Her nana made her red Dorothy shoes which she loved wearing. She knew all the words to all the songs. Now a primary school teacher she said the vocabulary was so sophisticated back then!
Amazing Rachmaninoff...incredible piano playing with the orchestra in full joy, it was marvellous
The orchestra was superb, lots of tympani and brass which they must have loved, the conductor was so immersed in the music, cajoling the best out of the players, and the magnificent pianist ..there are no words to describe what he gave to that Rachmaninoff, awe inspiring!
A great night for all the family, I would like to see how the organ could be included into the event. Music was uplifting with brilliant choir chorus, thanks
Highest complements to the staff and management who made our experience š the best š Bic was epic š as ever and the harmony of the Orchestra was brilliant š
Outstanding performance. Bic Runga performed with purity and humble class. Loved every moment. The Auckland Philharmonia are always great. And their arrangements with Bic's music was perfect, it added without taking away or overpowering her songs. Bravo. Just wish the whole night could of gone on longer. That's my only complaint if any. 10 out of 10.
What an amazing performance!m All musicians were superb Loved the music. Loved the guitarist Jiji...she played 3 encores!! The conductor was Pablo Gonzalez He was in great control but had a lovely rapport with the musicians and gave them individual recognition.
Wonderful morning with daughter in law & young grandson at Hairy Maclary concert. APO, National Theatre Childrenās chorus & Jackie Clarke were all excellent. Seating in row K was great & better than expected. Booster seat for little ones and convenient car parking next door at Killarney St car park. Concert one hour long. Lovely outing
This was great for young kids, and probably their first live concert. Between the orchestra and conductor, the live narrator, the kids dance group and the large video screen showing panels of Lynley Doddās drawings of the characters of her books, there was a lot to keep kids engaged for the one hour running time. Just right !
