The music flowed from one item to the next: culminating with the multi media Mass drawing out the horror of war after war, the current disasters of the Ukraine, the Middle East, North Africa, Myanmar, but not allowing us to succumb to despair. Glimpses of hope that Peace will prevail.
The choir and brass band were absolutely brilliant. An amazing performance which left you thinking about the sacrifice of millions of men women and children in times of war. A call for peace it certainly was. This was such an immersive experience with the music, song and visuals. War affects all people all nations and the performances showed just how war impacts all. Well done beautiful and haunting. Definitely singing to inspire!
A raw experience which brought out Karl Jenkins' Armed Man to an emotional reflection on the evils of war.

This was a wonderful concert, both of the Chichester Psalms And Carmina Burana, with the almost full house audience it deserved. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the counter-tenor was clearly stretched beyond his range in his first solo (written for tenor) which was distressing to listen to.
An excellent, outstanding performance of Verdi's Requiem by the combined orchestra and choir presentation. Great to see that it was so well attended with the Town Hall packed.
This was absolutely stunning. The huge choir, the magnificent soloists, the wonderful orchestra and the superb conductor made Auckland Choral Society's performance of Verdi's Requiem simply outstanding. Could not be bettered on any world stage. Deeply moving and impressive beyond words. Heartfelt thanks to all the hundreds involved in bringing this great work to the Auckland Town Hall on Sunday evening.
