About

There are many facts in the known universe. For instance, did you know a giraffe is 30 times more likely to be struck by lightning? I guess because they are so tall?

Another fact is that Pub Choir is the world’s biggest, best, funniest, hottest music lesson. This fact has been verified by independent* sources (*we paid a guy on Fiverr to say it).

An actually true fact is that Pub Choir is an opt-in experience. You don’t HAVE to buy a ticket and you are allowed to rot at home like you always do. But you PROBABLY should come and have a sing with a few thousand strangers. You would DEFINITELY feel better if you did. And hasn’t your sister-in-law been asking for years to go with you? It couldn’t be that bad could it?!? Everybody keeps bloody going on about it, maybe it’s worth a look.

Anyway, just think about it.

What I’m trying to say is that Pub Choir will be touring across Australia and New Zealand this July/August and Astrid is brewing her greatest ever arrangement, which I can say with some authority, because I am her.
The tour is called ‘Just Think About It’. And if you could, that’d be great.

You’ll learn one song in 3 part harmony at the show. That’s it, that’s the whole promise! Just think about it! Please Come and have a sing! No worries if not!

Some of the seats for the show are allocated. Different areas of the room will receive different musical instructions, so please consider choosing your seats according to what best suits your voice:

Stage Left: MEN (Seated) - Any gender welcome, best suited to typical male vocal range (think Neil Finn or
Miley Cyrus' lowest notes)
Centre: LOW LADIES (Seated) - Any gender welcome, best suited to typical low female vocal range (think Cher or Sam Smith)
Stage Right: HIGH LADIES (Seated) - Any gender welcome, best suited to typical higher female vocal range (think Cyndi Lauper or Freddie Mercury)

This show is 18+ Please be aware that this event will be filmed & photographed. By purchasing a ticket and attending this event, you are giving your consent to be filmed & photographed during this event.

    For fun seekers

    by SangMyHeartOut on 02/07/2025

Enjoyed every single minute. Astrid is a pure entertainer, knows how to wrangle a crowd, draw them in, coach and is hilariously comedic throughout. Her PowerPoint presso skills are top notch and her musicality is pure genius. If you're looking for a serious vocal choir jog on as this event is for those who like to have a giggle and a sing. Auckland's Civic was a great venue too...

    Excellent - but…

by Greige on 17/05/2025The Civic, Auckland - Auckland

The show was great, apart from the choice of song. After seeing videos of previous events where the audience are enthusiastically rocking along to well known songs, such as “All Night Long”, “Sway” was a strange choice. It seemed like most of the audience were unfamiliar with it, and it was hardly a song to get carried away with.

    The. Best. Night. Out!

by Julie on 07/11/2024The Opera House Wellington - Wellington

Well, where do I start. This is such a fun night out. I had been before to Pub Choir, so I knew what I was getting into. Astrid is so funny and you leave with sore cheeks from smiling and laughing the whole night long - even when you are singing. It's so fun to be in a place where everyone is having a blast of a time and contributing to the end result. We all come together and have this amazing shared experience. And sing our hearts out at the same. What could be better?
