One of the world’s most popular and acclaimed live bands, SIMPLE MINDS return to New Zealand this February and March as part of their V Tour 2027, celebrating five decades of music. 

Since the release of their debut album Life in a Day, SIMPLE MINDS have enjoyed a remarkable career, selling out arenas and stadiums across the globe. Renowned for their anthemic choruses and expansive sound, the band became one of the defining acts of the 1980s. Their enduring catalogue includes global hits ‘Alive and Kicking’, ‘Promised You A Miracle’, ‘Waterfront’, ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’, ‘Belfast Child’, ‘Sanctify Yourself’, ‘She’s a River’, ‘Let There Be Love’ and over 60 million albums sales worldwide.  

Frequently cited as an influence by younger artists, the band continues to receive critical acclaim. MOJO recently described their energy as ‘undiminished’ whilst other critics praised the band’s endurance and consistent creativity. This legacy is reflected in their ongoing global success, with ‘Don’t You (Forget about Me)’ recently joining the prestigious Spotify Billions Club. 

Joining the SIMPLE MINDS V Tour 2027 as very special guest is GARY NUMAN, who makes his long-awaited return Down Under, his first Australian and New Zealand tour in over a decade.  

Few artists have impacted modern electronic music quite like GARY NUMAN. Rising to fame with hits, ‘Are ‘Friends’ Electric?’ and 'Cars’ Numan pioneered a distinctive sound that helped define the future of electronic music and inspired artists across rock, electronic and alternative music - an influence that continues to resonate today.  

Known for his brooding atmospheres, driving beats, and powerful live performances, GARY NUMAN continues to captivate audiences across the world.  

The SIMPLE MINDS V Tour 2027 promises a panoramic live music experience, an all-encompassing celebration of music across five decades from a band who have not only managed to remain relevant to each new generation, but continue to shape and perform with the same energy that has defined their career.

Accessible tickets, both during presales and the general public sale period, can also be requested via our Submit a request – Ticketmaster Help(Opens in new tab). Please be sure to include your relevant presale code with your request if wanting to make a booking during the presale period. 

Venues are solely responsible for establishing their own accessible seating ticket policies. Availability and type of accessible seating tickets will vary by venue.
