Stunning night of opera!

The Auckland Opera Studio, Manukau Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Choral Society present yet another operatic journey rich in emotion and romantic tragedy.
This event follows the highly celebrated "Verdi meets Puccini" of 2024.
Starting with Verdi's reknowned "Anvil Chorus", we venture deep into Nineteenth Century Romantic Literature with exerpts from Paliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, Thais, Faust, Carmen and finallyback to yet another of Puccini's great Death scenes, Act 4 of Manon Lescuat.
Uwe Grodd, Conductor.
John Davies, Stage Direction.
Frances Wilson, Artistic Director.

So much pleasure derived from the talent of all concerned in the production. Vocalists and Orchestra were outstanding. However it was really cold in the town hall with fans sending cold air right at us. Didn't allow it to spoil our delight with the musicians, but was really uncomfortable.
