MATT CORBY RETURNS TO AOTEAROA ON HIS TRAGIC MAGIC TOUR 

Today, one of Australia’s most soulful and stirring voices, Matt Corby announces his return to Aotearoa as part of his Tragic Magic Tour, in support of his fourth studio album set for release on 17 April. The third announcement in the Winter Series, Matt Corby joins the already announced Home Brew and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 on the lineup, performing at Auckland Town Hall on Friday 29 May 2026. With his last Auckland show at The Powerstation in 2023 selling out instantly, tickets are expected to move fast.

Two-time ARIA winner and multi-Platinum national treasure Matt Corby will take to the stage at the Auckland Town Hall. Corby’s 2023 album Everything’s Fine scored 3 x ARIA nominations, including Album Of The Year, plus a nom for triple j’s Australian Album of the Year.  

Releasing his fourth studio album Tragic Magic this year, it finds pain and joy and moments of pure fun, in liquid basslines, hushed moments and soaring falsetto. Wrapped in ever more sophisticated soul.   

No stranger to accolades, Corby’s latest and most adventurous record pulls together a decade of musical threads and production nous, to reveal a body of work that glides even deeper into his R&B roots, while embracing aspects of vintage funk, hip-hop and playful soft rock motifs.
